Bachelor's Grove Cemetery and Its Spooky Tales

Rumoured to be a gangster's favourite place to dump bodies during prohibition, Bachelor's Grove located in the southwest Chicago suburbs is a decaying cemetery that has been the site of countless strange and bizarre stories about ghost, spirits and devil worship. The most famous of these is the "White Lady" the ghost of a young woman wearing a white dress, often cradling a baby in her arms allegedly appears on moonlit nights.

In the 1920s, there were found numerous dead bodies in the small lagoon of cemetery side. Since then, these spooky affairs began to have occurred and in the 60s, it was turned into a very natural place for Satanic Worships.

According to the Ghost Research Society members, they got notable changes in electromagnetic readings in various time at the same place at this cemetery area. They took many types of photographs with the normal and infrared camera and nothing was seen by the time of clicking photos but after development, they were shocked to find a brown-haired woman in a long dress, sitting on the checkerboard tombstone of an old cemetery in a particular photograph.

A ghostly woman seated in a cemetery, the photo was taken by Mari Huff
If you take a keen observation on this picture, you can see her body is looking semi-transparent especially her head and legs.

Also, many people who have visited this graveyard to investigate or to explore something, often claim that the fully charged battery of their electronic gadget was dramatically drained out as well as their car-engine had stopped without any reason and it was started again after a while.

The most famous story of ghost sightings is Blinking of a Blue Ball. In 1970, Jack Harmanshki observed the blue light hovering over the ground and whole night he tried to catch it but that light was playing a game whenever he had overtaken it, the light disappeared and reappeared behind him after 20 seconds break. In December of 1971, Denise Travers claimed that she was able to touch the mysterious light which was constantly moving here and there and it had a heat sensation.

A very nice story about a phantom house is also to be heard, a white farm style house with a white wooden column, a porch swing and even a lantern burning dimly had been seen by the witnesses. They try to get into the house but when they start to approach towards it, that house had disappeared amazingly into the dark woods by gradually making itself smaller. Not only Phantom House but also Phantom Cars had been seen so many times whenever those cars had been tried to trace the witnesses fail to find those cars. Cars use to vanish in the dark just magically.

In late 1970, two Cook Country Forest Rangers on late-night patrol experienced a horrible incident besides the lagoon. A farmer and his horses pulling an old plow for fiction of time and suddenly vanished.

The two-headed monster crawling story is also a very interesting legend who comes out from the lagoon and disappears in the nearby Rubio Woods Forest Preserve.

According to another legend, the deadliest hooks-spirit often can be seen who always tends to kill the witness.

In 1975, according to witness, an Instamatic camera got some pictures without shutter being depressed of human-like mist. That man sent his camera to the technician and he was told that the camera is in fully functional condition and the film was new. Strange voices have been recorded in the cemetery over the years. These voices are very scary which simply telling "HELLO BLACKMAN, MINNA MINNA!!"

Although there are so many weird and mysterious stories related to the Bachelor's Grove Cemetery, this is indeed a very nice place especially for the ghost hunters that could even give them a new occult experience of another world.

Hisashi Ouchi ― A Nuclear Affected Man Waited 83 Unbearable Days to Die

The Second Tokaimura Nuclear Accident conveys the nuclear disaster which occurred on September 30, 1999, resulting in two horrific nuclear deaths. It is one of the world's worst civilian nuclear radiation accidents which occurred in a uranium fuel reprocessing that was operated by the Japan Nuclear Fuel Conversion Co. (JCO) at the village of Tokai, Naka District, Japan.
Three lab workers, Hisashi Ouchi, Yutaka Yokokawa and Masato Shinohara were together preparing a measurable batch of nuclear-fuel by adding uranium solution to the precipitation tanks. Due to lack of experience, they mistakenly added an excessive quantity of uranium (about 16kg) to one of those tanks which reached to its critical condition. Eventually, a self-sustaining nuclear chain reaction started in all of sudden and the horrible accident took place.
Unfortunately, Hisashi was the nearest-one from the explosion who was injured most. He received 17 sieverts (Sv) of radiation while 50 mSv is considered as the ma…

A Brief History of Strange Signals from the Space

Since the beginning of civilization, humans have witnessed such unusual and unexplained activities that are mostly believed to be not from this world. From that prehistoric hieroglyphics charts, pictures, manuscripts to today's science-based documentary files, there is a lot of information of which exact reasons and origins are still unknown to us, and one of the most notable of them is the strange signals from outer space.

Cornell physicists Philip Morrison and Giuseppe Cocconi had speculated in a 1959-paper that any extraterrestrial civilization attempting to communicate via radio signals might do so using a frequency of 1420 megahertz (21 centimetres), which is assuredly emitted by the most common element in the Universe, Hydrogen; and it should be familiar to all technologically advanced and intelligent beings.

A few years later in 1968, there were several reports of unidentified strange signals from space that were picked up from the Arecibo radio telescope in Puerto Rico. …

The USS Stein Monster

The USS Stein Monster was a properly unidentified sea creature that apparently attacked the Knox-class destroyer escort USS Stein (DE -1065), which was later redesignated as a Frigate (FF-1065) in the US Navy.

The ship had got its name USS Stein after Tony Stein, who was the first Marine to receive the 'Medal of Honor' for action in the Battle of Iwo Jima. USS Stein was commissioned on 8 January 1972, and after two decades of her restless service, she got decommissioned on 19 March 1992.
In 1976, the USS Stein was attacked by a sea monster believed to be an unknown species of giant squid, which damaged the "NOFOUL" rubber coating of her AN/SQS-26 SONAR dome. Over 8 percent of the surface coating was unbelievably damaged. Nearly all of the cuts contained remains of sharp, curved claws found on the rims of suction cups of some squid's tentacles. The claws were indeed much larger than any reported at that time which indicated the monstrous creature to may have been…

Strange Outer Space Stone Engraved with Hieroglyphics Remains an Enigma

In 1908, in the vicinity of the Cowichan Valley, on Vancouver Island, in British Columbia, Canada, while Willie McKinnon, the 14-year-old son of Mr. Angus McKinnon was working in his father's garden around half past 11 o'clock, a meteor about 10 inches in diameter was hurled through space and buried itself in the ground about eight feet from where he was standing. Luckily, he was not injured by the mateorite.

Willie immediately called his father to see what happened and when Mr. McKinnon came to the spot, he was shocked to find that the meteor was almost as round as a marble and the hot surface was deeply scored with what resembled hieroglyphics.
This startling story was published as a front-page newspaper article of Sept. 5, 1908 entitled, "A Message From Mars".

Mr. McKinnon spent most of his life since the incident in trying to decipher the strange markings on the mysterious stone. However, the "space stone" appears to be never examined because its any r…
